KTH Chapel

Rebuilding and restoration of the Red cross old hospital, from hospital to office spaces and a large lecture/presentation space.
The architectural concept in the project was that the new added elements were to have a modern expression to stand in contrast to the old initial elements that were kept.
A Lighting design concept was created for the Exterior entrance, interior entrance space as well as the Chapel.

The focus of the lighting was to create a warm and welcoming entrance. The lighting was to emphasize the existing architectural details around the entrance, to be an expression for what has been and what there is today.

The interior lightings main focus is to create a pleasant lighting that is exclusive and gives an interesting and inviting atmosphere to the space.
The light is to have a good balance between old and new and will strive to enhance the architectural
expression of the space without making it religious in its expression.
